Relief driver

Casual Driver Role
Ready, willing and able to become a food rescue champion as we help the Auckland community through the COVID-19 crisis?
Join Auckland’s original food rescue organisation, Fair Food, and be a part of generating positive environmental and social outcomes this year in Auckland’s communities.
Since our world changed as a result of COVID-19 we are busier than ever rescuing food and delivering it to those in need. We are looking for a part-time backup driver to help out with our day to day running of food collections and deliveries throughout Central and West Auckland.
We need someone who can relate to food donors and recipients including producers, store managers and recipient organisations alike.
You will have a full licence, be confident driving a manual vehicle, physically fit, and a naturally positive person with great communication skills.
The position will involve a mixture of driving, collecting food, sorting food, tallying weights and delivering to community organisations primarily in West Auckland.
This role will suit someone who is well organised, has great time management skills and is motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community.
An advantage would be if you were familiar with supermarket loading docks, have had some prior truck driving or delivery experience, and have managed data collection before.
Wage – to be advised.
