Act One Productions is a small business in the entertainment and events industry with an unpaid work experience to offer an enthusiastic proactive student.
This unpaid work experience would centre around marketing the business and growing our audience as well as some event administration such as helping with costuming, photography etc at live events. You would be required to put in up to 10 hours per week and many of these hours can be done remotely.
This unpaid work experience is a volunteer position. No payment or other reward will be made to you for your services for the duration of the work experience. It will not necessarily lead to paid employment with Act One Productions but has the opportunity for a reference at the end of the agreement.

Hours of Work
The person will complete approximately 5 to 10 hours of work per week and will keep a log of hours worked and tasks completed. Many of these hours can be done remotely.

Duties include:
This is a list of work the person may be required to undertake. The list is not exhaustive and other duties may be discussed and agreed upon by both parties.
Attend events that Act One Productions is involved with to take photos and/ or transport costumes
Increase Act One Productions social media following and email database by creating engaging social media posts, running competitions, signing people up to a mailing list etc. Campaigns to be discussed between the intern and Act One Productions.
Publish, promote and monitor social media posts.
Bring new ideas to the table regarding increasing Act One Productions audience.
Upload all photos taken of Act One Productions to Google Drive folder.
Basic administrative work as instructed by Act One Productions.
Other duties as reasonably requested by Act One Productions.
Sorting, washing and collecting costumes.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Self motivation and the drive to succeed
The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Experience and/ or an understanding of social media, in particular Facebook and Instagram; and the ability to create posts that are engaging for a specific target audience
Access to the internet, a phone with a good quality camera and a laptop computer
Your own reliable car would be advantageous, but at least access to reliable transportation.
Ideally studying event management, marketing or business. Applications from business minded performing arts students will also be accepted.
