Land Surveying Student Employment

Quadrant is seeking a part-time student surveyor to assist our senior surveyors on several construction projects in the Auckland area.

The role will be 10-15 hours per week, with sufficient flexibility to be able to work around lectures and study.

Graduate Oppurtunity

Our grad program is a comprehensive professional development plan including leadership training, mentoring and special projects. As a Dempsey Wood Graduate, you’ll be a permanent employee on an accelerated career path for a 6 month fixed term duration.

The successful candidates will attend a 4-6 week intensive training program where they will be given an orientation with our various departments, spending time and learning about the operational requirements of the various functions throughout Dempsey Wood. Following the completion of the associated learning outcomes, you will be allocated to a project site where you will work closely with the site management.

We have two upcoming intakes for October and January starts, with 4 graduates in each group.

You will be required to work in the office as well as in-field locations such as construction sites. You will be working regular construction industry hours, Mon-Fri from 7am-5pm and occasional Saturdays.

You will be assisting Site Management with the following tasks:
Programming of works.
Liaising with subcontractors, Local and Regional Authorities and Service Providers.
Surveying/ Setout of works.
Maintaining quality standards/ensuring project specifications are met.
Ensuring critical levels and grades are maintained for drainage, roading and earthworks.
Identifying plant and material requirements.
Carrying out quality checks; and completing documentation as required.

Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a final year student who is studying Quantity Surveying or a Quantity Surveyor who wants a part-time job.

Our focus is on providing a quality service and building a lasting relationship with our customers.

We welcome applicants who are fluent in both Korean and English language.

Job is 20 hours or more per week starting on a salary of $17.70/hour while part time.

Reporting of all relevant site activities and managing the quality of work performed

Ensure site works are being performed in accordance with policies and plans
Arrange and deliver meetings as necessary to facilitate construction works
Receive and review shop drawings
Any other duties as directed by the Project manager
